Preparation Method :

  • Marinate the shrimps in turmeric powder and salt; keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a wok or pan. Saute shrimps. Remove and keep aside.
  • Add mustard seeds and let them crackle.
  • In the same oil, add curry leaves, onions, green chillies, ginger and garlic. Cook till the onions are lightly browned. Add coriander powder and red chilli powder and stir.
  • Mix the shrimps and mangoes into the curry. Add the coconut milk and cook for 15 minutes or until the curry thickens. Remove from heat.
  • Serve hot.


  • 400 grams Shrimps
  • ½ teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 75 ml Cooking oil
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 4 Curry leaves 
  • 100 grams Onions, chopped
  • 2 Green chillies, slit
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic , chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Coriander, powder
  • 2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 250 grams Mangoes raw, sliced
  • 150 ml Coconut milk
