Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil in a pan, add the tomatoes, prawns, ground masala paste and salt. Fry for 3-5 minutes.
  • Add the tamarind pulp with a little water to cook the prawns and to get a thick gravy.
  • Serve hot.


  • 350 grams Prawns, shelled, cleaned, rinsed and     
  • 250 grams Tomatoes    
  • 1 tablespoon Tamarind pulp    
  • 2 tablespoon Cooking oil    
  • Salt to taste

Grind to a fine paste with little vinegar

  • ½ teaspoon Turmeric powder    
  • 2 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1 " piece Ginger    
  • 6 cloves Garlic   
  • 8-9 Red chillies
