PARSI PRAWN PATIN

Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil in a heavy-bottomed pan, add the onions and fry till golden. Add the tomatoes and mix very well.
  • Add the prawns with all the other ingredients and the ground masala paste except the vinegar and jaggery. Fry for about 2-3 minutes.
  • Add measured water and cook covered for 5-7 minutes or until the gravy thickens. Add the vinegar and jaggery and simmer to low flame and cook for another 2 more minutes.

INGREDIENTS

  • 300 grams Fresh prawns shelled, washed and drained    
  • 175 grams Tomato puree
  • 150 grams Onions thinly sliced
  • 100 ml Cooking oil      
  • 3 teaspoon Curry powder    
  • 3 teaspoon Vinegar    
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • ΒΌ teaspoon Turmeric powder    
  • Chilli powder, to taste        
  • Salt to taste

Grind to a fine paste

  • 3-4 cloves Garlic    
  • 3-4 Green chillies    
  • 3 tablespoon Coriander leaves
