Preparation Method :

  • Boil the fish in 2 cups of water with the bay leaf, peppercorns and celery. Strain and reserve the stock.
  • Melt the butter in a pan. Fry the onion and garlic. Add the tomato, fry for 2 more minutes.
  • Sprinkle the flour, add the stock with pepper, salt and bring the mixture to a boil. Add the fish and prawns and cook till tender.
  • Keep the toasted bread pieces in individual serving bowls, pour the hot soup on top and garnish with chopped parsley and serve at once.


  • 250 grams Prawns shelled, deveined and washed    
  • 6 Fish fillets cleaned and rinsed
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 3 teaspoon Butter
  • 1 Tomato blanched and chopped
  • A little Celery chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Flour
  • 6 Peppercorns
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • 1 clove Garlic minced
  • 6 Bread slices cut into 4 pieces each and toasted
  • Salt to taste
  • Parsley to garnish
