Preparation Method :

  • Grind together the prawns, coconut and onions to a fine paste, make sure not to add water.
  • Add to the masala paste, egg, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Mix well.
  • Divide the mixture into 10 portions. Shape each portion into a ball, flatten and shallow fry in hot oil till golden brown on both sides.
  • Serve piping hot with chutney or sauce.


  • 250 grams Prawns, shelled, cleaned and cooked
  • 3 Onions, chopped
  • ½ Coconut, grated            
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice    
  • Pepper and salt to taste
  • 1 Egg, beaten
  • IDHAYAM sesame Oil to shallow fry

Grind to a fine paste

  • 1 teaspoon roasted Cumin seeds    
  • 9 Peppercorns
