Preparation Method :

  • To Make Sauce: Place mayonnaise, relish, capers, lemon juice and spring onion in a bowl and mix well to combine.
  • Cook potatoes until soft; drain. Transfer to a large mixing bowl and mash well with butter.
  • Add in all the remaining ingredients with Tabasco sauce and 2 tablespoon dried breadcrumbs and mix well to combine.
  • Shape mixture into 8 - 10 patties, dip into beaten egg then coat it with the remaining breadcrumbs.
  • Heat oil in a frying pan over a medium heat and cook patties until golden brown, turning once.
  • Serve hot with tartar sauce and a green salad.


  • 3 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 350 gramspotatoes
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 420 grams canned red salmon, drained
  • 2 stalks celery, cut into small lengths
  • 2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 tablespoon snipped fresh chives
  • 2 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
  • 1 egg
  • ½ teaspoon Tabasco sauce
  • 100 grams dried breadcrumbs
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 2 tablespoon light olive oil

Tartar Sauce

  • 225 ml mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoon gherkin relish
  • 2 tablespoon capers, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 spring onion, sliced thinly
