Aduki Bean Soup boasts for its excellent taste as it contains a lot of its ingredients: aduki beans, onion, vegetable oil, celery stalk, tomato puree, bay leaves, water and salt! It has its flavorful and mouth-watery taste that you could love it the most!

Preparation Time :
3 hours

Cooking Time :
1 hour

Preparation Method :

  • Soak the beans in cold water to cover for 3 hours; drain well.
  • Heat the oil in a large pan; add the onion, celery and carrot and cook until softened.
  • Add the remaining ingredients, with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Bring to the boil and simmer for 1 hour.
  • Pour into a warmed soup tureen and sprinkle with the parsley to serve.


  • 200 grams aduki beans
  • 4 tablespoons IDHAYAM sesame oil 
  • 2 onion, peeled and chopped
  • 2 celery stalk, chopped 
  • 2 carrot, scraped and chopped
  • 2 clove garlic, peeled and crushed
  • 4 tomatoes, skinned and chopped 
  • 2 tablespoon tomato puree
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 teaspoon chopped thyme
  • 1 litre stock or water 
  • Salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoon chopped parsley, to garnish
