Surprise your loves ones and prepare an instant healthy recipe through green pea and lettuce soup. This menu is extremely best for daily meals and your family will surely love this. With its combined green pea and lettuce, this recipe appears more enticing and appetizing.

Preparation Method :

  • Melt the margarine in a large saucepan over a low heat. Add the peas.
  • Add the chopped lettuce, cover the saucepan and sweat for 10 minutes.
  • Add the stock or water, salt, basil, nutmeg and bay leaves and bring to the boil.
  • Reduce the heat and simmer for 40 minutes. Allow the soup to cool slightly, and then remove the bay leaves and transfer the soup to a blender or food processor and puree for about 1 minute.
  • Adjust the seasoning if necessary. Reheat the soup and serve piping hot.
  • Garnished a swirl of cream and a sprinkling of parsley. 


  • 100 grams margarine
  • 750 grams shelled fresh or frozen peas
  • 4 lettuce hearts, chopped
  • 2 litres ham stock or water 
  • 2 teaspoon salt 
  • 2 teaspoon dried basil 
  • 2 teaspoon grated nutmeg 
  • 4 bay leaves 


  • 200 ml single cream
  • 4 tablespoons chopped parsley
