Preparation Method :

  • In a pan, toast hazelnuts until they begin to release their natural oils.
  • Keep tossing them to ensure that they do not burn. Place them on a kitchen towel and rub together until most of the skins fall off. Leave to cool.
  • Whizz them in a food processor along with maple syrup and oil to a smooth consistency; this should take about 15 minutes.
  • Scrape the sides of the bowl every now and then so that the mixture is evenly processed and the oils are extracted.
  • Transfer into a jar and refrigerate for up to 3 weeks.
