Preparation Method :

  • Add the chicken pieces with half of the oil into a saucepan over medium heat and cook until golden brown on both sides. Remove and set it aside to keep warm.
  • Add all the ingredients with remaining oil to a large pan, mix well and sauté until soft.
  • Return the chicken pieces to the pan, spoon sauce over and simmer, covered for about 20 - 30 minutes or until the chicken is tender.
  • Arrange the chicken in a warm serving dish, drizzle with yogurt and chopped parsley.


  • 150 ml natural yogurt
  • 75 ml cooking oil
  • 725 grams tomatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 250 grams chicken pieces
  • 1 onion, cut into eighths
  • 3 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 red pepper, seeded and sliced into strips
  • 1 yellow or green pepper, seeded and sliced into strips
  • 1 tablespoon sweet ground paprika
  • 100 ml dry white wine
  • Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
