Chinese was known for its fine cuisine. This Chinese style steak and beans might sound appetizing. This menu might work for you, and it is very easy to cook. You might compliment this dish and considerably create an idea of including beans to your other dishes.

Preparation Method :

  • Cut the steak into fine strips about 5 cm/2 inches long. Heat the oil in a wok or heavy-based frying pan, add almonds and stir-fry until golden all over.
  • Add the beef and cook, stirring, for 5 minutes. Add beans and boiling water cover and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Add spring onions (scallions) and stir in soy sauce mixed with corn flour.
  • Add salt and pepper to taste and cook, stirring, for 3 minutes.
  • Serve with noodles or plain boiled rice.


  • 700 grams rump steak
  • 8 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 50 grams whole shelled almonds 
  • 500 grams sliced green beans
  • 500 ml boiling water
  • 8 spring onions, chopped
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 4 teaspoons corn flour
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper
