FISH STEAKS CASALINGA

This fish steaks casalinga is mainly cooked with butter, chopped onions, white wine, white fish steaks, lemon juice and other flavorings. Every fish steak is tendered with delicious fillings and it is extremely enticing. This dish is perfectly made for lunch or dinner.

Preparation Method :

  • Melt the butter in a heavy-based frying pan, add the onion and cook gently until golden but not browned.
  • Add the wine and parsley bring to the boil, and then place fish in pan. Cook for ½ minute on one side, and then turn the fish.
  • Tightly cover the pan and simmer for about 8 minutes or until the fish is tender and the flesh can be pushed away from the bone slightly with a fork.
  • Meanwhile pound the anchovies to a paste. When the fish is cooked, remove and keep warm. Add the anchovies to the pan and bring to the boil.
  • Add small pieces of the beurre manie, stirring until the sauce is the required thickness. Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes, stir in the lemon juice.
  • Spoon some over the fish and serve the rest separately.

INGREDIENTS

  • 100 grams butter 
  • 1 small onion, chopped 
  • 250 ml dry white wine
  • 2 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • 4 thick white fish steaks 
  • 10 anchovy fillets, rinsed
  • 3 tablespoons beurre manie (mix 2 tablespoon flour with 30 gram butter)
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper 
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
