The rump steaks with pear rings are indulge with perfect ingredients. You can have this in an instant as long as you know its accurate cooking instructions. This dish is made with rump steaks, fresh pear, soft brown sugar, streaky bacon and sweet cider.

Preparation Time :
40 minutes

Cooking Time :
45 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Season the steaks well and barbecue it for 4-5 minutes on each side.
  • Remove them and allow it to cool.
  • Coat it with mustard, top each steak with a ring of pear and sprinkle with some soft brown sugar.
  • Wrap each steak in a couple of rashers of bacon, season again and put back on the barbecue pear-side down.
  • Barbecue for 4-5 minutes on each side, sprinkling with a little sweet cider while cooking .


  • 250 grams rump steaks, trimmed
  • Freshly ground black pepper and Salt  (to taste)
  • 6 tablespoons English or Dijon mustard
  • 6 cored slices of fresh pear
  • 60 grams soft brown sugar
  • 12 large rashers rind less smoked streaky bacon
  • A little sweet cider
