Preparation Method :

  • Melt the margarine in a pan and sauté the onion for 2 minutes.
  • Add the lettuce and carrots and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Add the beans, salt and pepper and continue cooking for 5 minutes with the lid on the pan.
  • Stir in the water, cover and cook for 15 minutes.
  • Transfer to a warm serving dish and garnish with the herbs.
  • Serve hot.


  • 50 grams margarine
  • 2 onion, peeled and chopped
  • 15 lettuce leaves, shredded
  • 500 grams carrots, peeled and cut into matchsticks
  • 500 grams green beans
  • Salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons water
  • Chopped mixed herbs, to garnish
