BOILED ONIONS WITH PARSLEY SAUCE

Preparation Time :
45 minutes

Cooking Time :
30 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Cook the onions. In boiling salted water for about 30 minutes until tender.
  • Drain and reserve 4 tablespoons of the cooking liquid.
  • Arrange the onions in a serving dish and keep warm
  • Serve hot with buttered toast.

INGREDIENTS

  • 8 small onions 
  • 50 gram butter 
  • 2 tablespoon plain flour
  • 250 ml evaporated milk or single cream 
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper 
  • 2 tablespoon chopped parsley
