Preparation Method :

  • Brush the parsnips with the honey.
  • Coat them evenly in toasted sesame seeds.
  • Season well with salt and pepper.
  • Place in a steamer and cover with a tight-fitting lid.
  • Steam over the boiling stock or water for 20 minutes or until tender.
  • Keep hot, or serve immediately.


  • 16 baby parsnips, peeled and trimmed
  • 2 tablespoon clear honey, warmed
  • 6 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
  • Salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 750 ml vegetable stock or water
