POTATOES DAUPHINOISE

Cooking Time :
1 1/2 hour

Preparation Method :

  • Grease deep 19 cm square cake pan.
  • Layer potatoes in prepared pan, sprinkle with nutmeg.
  • Pour over cream, sprinkle with cheese, dot with butter.
  • Cover, bake in moderate oven 30 minutes, uncover, continue baking about 45 minutes or until top is browned and potatoes are tender.

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 1.5 kg old potatoes, peeled, thinly sliced
  • Pinch ground nutmeg
  • 300 ml cream
  • 25 grams grated parmesan cheese
  • 20 grams butter, chopped
