Preparation Method :

  • Start by soaking the Rice in a bowl of water for 3 hours, then drain the water and spread the rice in a steamer basket covered with cloth.
  • Then, take a steamer pan with water and bring to the boil and place the steamer basket in it. Steam on a medium heat for 20 - 25 minutes or until the rice enlarges.
  • Now mix the Coconut Milk, the Measured Water, the Sugar and the Salt in a small saucepan until all dissolve and melt together.
  • Now transfer the hot Rice into a bowl and mix it with the Coconut Milk Mixture. Cover it and let it rest for about 10 minutes.
  • Then mix the Coconut Milk, the Flour and the Salt together and gently heat it up in a sauce pan for 2 - 3 minutes to make the coconut cream topping.
  • Now peel the Mangoes and then cut them in small slices and arrange the slices on each plate. Now you can serve them with the Sticky Rice by showering the coconut cream topping.


  • 500 Grams of White Sticky Rice
  • 8 Mangoes, ripe
  • 200 ml of Coconut Milk
  • 200 ml of Coconut Cream Topping
  • 150 grams of Palm or Coconut Sugar
  • 100 ml of Water
  • ½ Teaspoon of Salt

Ingredients for coconut cream topping

  • 200 ml of Coconut Milk
  • 1 Teaspoon of Plain Flour
  • A pinch of Salt
