Preparation Method :

  • Put the steak under a preheated hot grill and cook, turning it once, according to your taste.
  • While it is cooking, mix together all the sauce ingredients in a bowl.
  • Slice the steak when it is ready, slice it up and arrange on a serving dish and garnish with the basil, coriander and chilies.
  • Serve the sauce separately.


  • 500 grams Sirloin steak

Spicy sauce

  • 1 Tomato, finely chopped
  • 1 Red onion, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons Dried ground chili 
  • 5 tablespoons Fish sauce 
  • 4 tablespoons Lime juice or Tamarind puree 
  • 2 teaspoons Palm or light muscovado sugar 
  • 2 tablespoons Ground rice 
  • 2 tablespoons Beef or vegetable stock 
  • Thai sweet basil leaves to garnish
  • Coriander leaves
  • A few slices Red chili
