Preparation Method :

  • The Sauce : Place all the sauce ingredients in a pan, bring to the boil and simmer for 10 minutes or until the onions are softened, add the meatballs just 2 minutes before the end of the cooking time.
  • Cook the pasta according to the packet instructions.
  • Mix all the ingredients for the meatballs in a large bowl, except the oil. Season well and then roll into 12 - 18 balls.
  • Place the meatballs on a baking sheet, brush with the oil and grill for 6 minutes or until cooked through. Keep warm.
  • Toss the cooked pasta with the sauce and meatballs and serve immediately.


The Meatballs

  • 300 grams extra-lean minced beef
  • 2 tablespoons sun-dried tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh oregano
  • 1 onion, chopped finely
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 50 grams grated parmesan
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 teaspoons Cooking Oil

The Sauce

  • 750 grams chopped tomatoes
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 2 tablespoons sun-dried tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh oregano
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
