Preparation Method :

  • Add small amount of salt in a pot of water and bring to the boil over high heat.
  • Boil tofu until done and floated to the surface. Remove and wash under running cold water, drain.
  • Cut each piece to obtain 4 triangular slices and divide each slice into halves. Put aside.
  • Pre-heat a work of oil over moderate heat. Fry tofu until golden on all sides. Remove and drain.
  • In another pan , pour in water and bring to the boil over moderate heat.
  • Season with seasoning sauce, light soy sauce, sugar and pepper. Stirring, add fried tofu and put the cover on.
  • Continue cooking until the sauce runs out. Turn off the heat.
  • Transfer to a serving dish, sprinkle sesame seeds over the top.
  • Garnish with coriander serve hot with condiments.


  • 4 pieces semi-hard white tofu
  • 1 liter Cooking Oil
  • 300 ml water
  • 2 tablespoons seasoning sauce
  • 2 tablespoons light soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons unbleached sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • Small amount of white sesame seeds for topping
  • Coriander leaves for garnish
  • Condiments: fresh lettuce leaves, coriander, boiled chopped carrot and boiled chopped potato
