Preparation Method :

  • Prepare the Prawns. Bring some water o the boil in a small saucepan.
  • Cook the prawns in the water for 3 - 4 minutes or until they open and turn pink. Drain.
  • Peel and finely shred the mangoes or apples just before mixing and mix with the prawns, shallots, chilies, fish sauce, dried shrimp and peanuts. Taste and adjust the seasoning.
  • Spoon on to a plate, garnish with chili sliced.
  • serve as a light salad on hot summer days.


  • 250 grams Raw prawns
  • 500 grams Green mangoes
  • 6 Shallots, finely sliced
  • 4 red chilies, finely chopped
  • 1 table spoon fish sauce
  • 50 grams Ground dried shrimp
  • Red chili sliced, to garnish
