Another quick and easy Asian Salad to prepare. The Northern Thai Salad is a very tasty salad with various meet mixes in it. Full with protein and light on the body this salad is another healthy success. Ingredients will please every taste and palate.

10 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Soak the vermicelli in warm water for 6 - 7 minutes, then drain them well and using a pair of scissors, snip them into shorter lengths.
  • Heat up the oil in a frying pan and lightly brown the garlic. Then add the Pork and cook through and in full. Now add 1 teaspoon of the Sugar and mix together. Remove from the heat and stir in the Noodles, the Prawn, the Shallots, the Fish Sauce, the Lime Juice, and the remaining Sugar, the Chillis, the Peanuts and the Coriander Leaves.
  • Now toss all the ingredients together and serve them in heaped portions, garnished with the Spring Onion, the Red Chilli and the Coriander Leaves.


  • 125 Grams of Mung Bean Vermicelli
  • 1 Tablespoon of Cooking oil
  • 2 Crushed Garlic Cloves
  • 100 Grams Minced Pork
  • 1 Teaspoon of Castor Sugar
  • 75 Grams of Cooked and Peeled Prawns
  • 1 Finely sliced Shallot
  • 1 Tablespoon of Fish Sauce
  • ½ Tablespoon of Lime Juice
  • 1 Small, finely chopped Red Chilli
  • 1½ Tablespoons of chopped Roasted peanuts
  • 1 Tablespoon of chopped Coriander Leaves

As Garnishment

  • 1 Diagonally sliced Spring Onion
  • ½ Large and diagonally sliced Red Chilli
  • A few Coriander Leaves
