Preparation Method :

  • In a bowl, put the tapioca pearls and hot water. It will form a thick sticky paste with the tapioca beads sticking to each other.
  • Add the chopped peanuts, turnip and salt. Mix it well.
  • Cover it with tinfoil and steam it for 10 minutes.
  • Take a teaspoon of tapioca paste in hand, and press it flat (apply oil on hand to prevent sticking of tapioca on hand).
  • Spread a spoonful of the turnip & nut mixture at the centre of the tapioca paste. Fold the edges and shape it into a ball.
  • Repeat the same with remaining tapioca and turnip mixture.
  • Steam the balls for 8 minutes.
  • Cool it and then serve it. 


  • 50 grams Tapioca Pearls
  • 20 grams Turnip (chopped)
  • 10 grams Toasted Peanut (Pounded) 
  • 1 Tablespoon Cooking Oil
  • 100 ml hot water
  • Salt to taste
  • Tin Foil for Steaming
