Preparation Method :

  • Place a pot of water or stock over medium heat and bring to the boil, stir in curry paste season well with tamarind juice, palm sugar, light soy sauce and salt.
  • The taste should be sour, salty and sweet. Add mushrooms and cook until done.
  • Add Chinese radish and green papaya, continue cooking until done.
  • Then add in yard-long bean, Chinese cabbage and fried bean curd skin.
  • Boil for a few minutes, remove from the heat.
  • Transfer to a serving dish.
  • Serve hot.


  • 1 liter water or vegetarian noodle stock
  • 100 grams sour curry paste
  • 5 tablespoons tamarind juice
  • 2 teaspoons palm sugar
  • 1 tablespoons light soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons sea salt
  • 200 grams straw mushrooms, quartered
  • 2 Chinese radish, sliced crosswise
  • 300 grams green papaya, sliced
  • 6 pods yard-long bean, cut into 1"sections 
  • 200 grams Chinese cabbage, cut into skin pieces
  • 100 grams fried dried bean curd skin
