Preparation Method :

  • Melt the butter in a large saucepan. Add the onion, garlic and juniper berries and lightly cook for 5 minutes, until the onion is soft.
  • Add the cabbage and stir until well coated in butter. Season to taste. Cover and cook the cabbage in its own juice for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • The cabbage should still be slightly crunchy and not soft.
  • Serve hot.


  • 25 grams butter
  • 1 medium onion, skinned and chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, skinned and crushed
  • 6 juniper berries, crushed
  • 450 grams cabbage, shredded
  • Salt and pepper
