Preparation Method :

  • Mix the flour, mustard and butter and blend it well. (Reserve 2 table spoon of butter for sautéing).
  • Add the cheese. Knead it into dough with sufficient water.
  • Roll out the dough and place it in an 8 inch flan tin.
  • Bake it at 200°C for 15 minutes.
  • Heat the reserved butter in a frying pan and sauté the vegetables until softened.
  • Transfer it into the flan case.
  • Combine the eggs, herbs and milk and pour into the flan.
  • Bake at 180°C for 25 minutes or until set.
  • Serve it hot. 


  • 150 grams Plain flour 
  • 80 grams Butter 
  • 50 grams Cheddar cheese, grated 
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 1 clove of Garlic, crushed
  • 1 red or green Pepper, seeded & chopped
  • 1 Courgette(Zucchini) thinly sliced
  • 1 Eggs, beaten
  • ½ teaspoon Mustard powder
  • ½ teaspoon Dried mixed herbs (choose the herbs as per taste)
  • 150 ml Milk 
  • Cold water for making dough
