Preparation Method :

  • Melt butter in a pan and sauté the onion.
  • Add the parsnips, garlic and curry powder, and cook for few minutes to release the flavours.
  • Boil the water and mix with stock cube in a separate bowl.
  • Now pour it to the pan and mix well.
  • Simmer for 15 minutes until parsnips are tender and easy to break with a wooden spoon.
  • Puree the soup in a food processor.
  • Transfer it back to the pan and add the cream.
  • Reheat it and add salt and pepper.
  • Garnish with the chilli flakes or paprika.
  • Serve it warm. 


  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 4 parsnips, peeled and chopped small cubes
  • 2 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 1500 ml boiling water
  • 2 stock cube
  • 4 teaspoons curry powder
  • 150 ml double cream
  • Salt and pepper as per taste
  • Dried chilli pepper flakes or paprika to garnish
